With the Easter weekend behind us, it’s time for our monthly review of Livestorm. Here’s a rundown of all things new at Livestorm in March 2018!

Product Updates

Our biggest update in march was without a doubt...

Livestorm Meet 💻

Meet is a new section of Livestorm, allowing you to run live video meetings with up to 12 participants plus 1 screen sharing, directly from your browser. As a Livestorm user, you get a link to your meeting room. All you need to do is share it with the person you'd like to meet with for them to join the call. See our support page for more information about Livestorm Meet.

After testing Meet internally and with a few select partners, we’re excited to release Livestorm Meet to the world. Use it for your internal meetings and for personalized onboarding demos with your most qualified leads.

Connection status alerts 🚥

Live streaming is a very demanding technology, especially when it comes to bandwidth usage. Until now, we didn’t provide much feedback on your connection status, so it was a lot of guesswork on your part if you or your participants experienced inconsistencies during your live stream.

As per this update, Livestorm now actively tests your connection quality and lets you know of any connectivity issue it detects. It will also actively try to reconnect you in case of a disconnect.

That said, our advice is always the same: make sure your internet connection is as reliable as possible before going live. And connect through an Ethernet connection rather than wifi if you can!

📅 [SaaScast S02E02] Conversational Marketing with Typeform (April 13th)

SaaScast is our monthly video poscast where we host great peers in the SaaS industry to talk about various topics. This month is conversational marketing.

Update: We experienced technical difficulties the day of the webinar (it was a Friday the 13th after all...). So we postponed for now and we'll let you know when we have a new date scheduled.

Hiring! 🙇‍

We’re still hiring for key roles at Livestorm! As a team of 10, all our roles are key, with opportunities for growth as we scale. We’re currently looking for:

What’s next (coming in April)

These two are really close to being live, so watch out for the little red button on the Livestorm app's top bar signaling you of the latest updates:

  • Displaying email statuses
  • 6 People on stage at once (going from 2 people previously)

What's next (...after April)

These are the longer-term updates that we're currently working on.

  • Team accounts (helping big teams work together)
  • 500+ Participants
  • On-Demand webinars

...And that'll be it for this month. Enjoy hosting live video events with Livestorm! 🙌
