GoToWebinar vs Google Meet: features

Both Google Meet and GoToWebinar are primarily based in the browser and available as applications for mobile devices.

The most notable promotion feature in GoToWebinar is a personal channel for each user which displays all past and current content. Unfortunately, there are no embeddable registration forms. Google Meet offers a useful built-in emailing tool but is missing some other key features, like social sharing buttons.

GoToWebinar helps users activate prospects with a real-time engagement dashboard, as well as polls, surveys, and hand-raising features. Key activation features in Google Meet include a chat section, polls, and digital whiteboards, but there are no question upvotes.

Lastly, while the GoToWebinar platform offers attendee reports and source tracking, there is no data enrichment for participant profiles. Google Meet offers a useful activity dashboard but lacks an on-demand webinar functionality.

GoToWebinar vs Google Meet: integrations

There are currently over 24 native integration options for GoToWebinar users to choose from. As for Google Meet, it is fully integrated with Google Workspace, with integration options including Google Sheets, Google Slide, Google Workspace Essentials, and Google Workspace for Education.

Users interested in making custom integrations for GoToWebinar can use the platform’s API to do so. The API is offered through LogMeIn, GoToWebinar’s parent company. Google Meet users, however, do not have an API option.

GoToWebinar also provides an SDK that allows developers to customize their webinars. This is not the case for Google Meet, however, which does not feature an SDK option.

There are no free plans available in GoToWebinar currently. However, there is a free plan for Google Meet, which supports up to three participants and is limited to its meeting use case.

GoToWebinar’s most affordable plan is its Lite plan, which costs $49 per month and permits as many as 100 participants per event. Google Meet’s most inexpensive plan is Google Workplace Individual and supports as many as 100 participants for $7.99 a month.

GoToWebinar has two good plans for small businesses to choose from. These are the Standard plan, starting at $99 per month, and the Pro plan, which starts at $199 a month. There is no similar product for Google Meet in this price tier, however.

Large businesses interested in GoToWebinar may want to consider its Enterprise plan, which costs $399 per month and allows as many as 3,000 participants per webinar. Google Meet’s most similar plan, Google Workspace Enterprise, allows up to 100,000 viewers for an unlisted price.
