What Is Mashup?

Mashup is a creative ice breaker game where coworkers mix two unrelated concepts into a single idea. It encourages out-of-the-box thinking and promotes teamwork in a fun way.

The goal of Mashup is to boost creativity and encourage collaborative ideas. It's also likely to generate some laughs.

Mashup Rules

  1. Form small groups of three to five coworkers.
  2. Give each group two random nouns that are unrelated. For example, "bicycle" and "pizza."
  3. Allow each group 10 minutes to brainstorm and come up with a new product, service, or concept that combines the two nouns.
  4. Ask each group to share their mashup with the whole team.
  5. Have everyone vote on the most innovative mashup.

Mashup Examples

  • "A bicycle that delivers hot pizzas while you pedal."
  • "A coffee mug that doubles as a small potted plant."
  • "A notebook that can be folded into a paper airplane."
  • "An umbrella that turns into a beach chair."
