Webinar software comparison: Adobe Connect vs Zoom

Adobe Connect vs Zoom: features

Users can access Adobe Connect from a browser or via a mobile app. Zoom is primarily meant to be used through a desktop app but can still be used in a browser.

Adobe Connect's best promotional feature is its event landing pages, which have embedded registration forms. Unfortunately, these registration forms do not have customizable fields. Zoom also has a registration page, which has customizable fields; the greatest drawback is that registrations cannot be limited to professional emails only.

Adobe Connect offers a wide suite of features like chats and polls. Users may be disappointed to learn that they can't customize backgrounds, however. Zoom also features chats, polls, and Q&As, but there is no way to send CTAs to webinar participants.

Lastly, Adobe Connect users can optimize their events through an attendance tracking tool. Zoom, meanwhile, offers a helpful analytics dashboard. On the downside, neither Adobe Connect nor Zoom allows users to automate tasks.

Adobe Connect vs Zoom: integrations

According to Adobe Connect's pricing page, users can connect applications to a native CMS. Zoom, meanwhile, offers a wide range of native integrations for its various products, including Salesforce, Pipedrive, HubSpot, and Zapier.

Adobe Connect lets developers construct unique integrations, thanks to its suite of web APIs. Zoom also has an API that allows developers to build custom integrations for its products and offers detailed documentation for developers.

Adobe Connect also provides an SDK for developers who wish to build custom plugins, which Adobe refers to as ""pods."" Zoom has offered a public SDK since March 2021, which developers can use to make its products more engaging.

Finally, all of Adobe Connect's integration options can be viewed in the Apps & Integrations marketplace on its website. Zoom's apps can also be viewed on the Zoom website by any visitor, even non-clients.

Adobe Connect vs Zoom: pricing

Adobe Connect offers a free plan limited to its meeting use case, which supports as many as three people. Zoom's free plan is also only available for its meeting product and permits an unlimited number of meetings with a maximum of 100 participants, as long as they last less than 40 minutes.

The most inexpensive Adobe Connect plan is its Meetings option, which permits up to 25 participants and starts at $50 per month. Zoom's entry-level plan is the Pro plan, designed for small teams, at about $15 per month.

Adobe Connect's next most costly plan is Webinars, capped at 100 participants and starting at $130 per month. Zoom’s webinar option is called Zoom Webinar and starts at $79 per month, per license.

Finally, there is an enterprise plan offered via Adobe Connect when you purchase four licenses or more or to go over any participant caps. Zoom also offers an enterprise option, which costs the same as the Business plan—$20 per month—but offers bonus features like unlimited cloud storage.
