Webinar software comparison: ON24 vs Zoom

ON24 vs Zoom: features

On 24 can be used from any device with a compatible browser. Zoom was originally a download-only platform, but now it can be accessed through a browser.

On24 makes it easy to remind registrants about upcoming events with automated emails. On the downside, there are no website widgets, meaning users can’t embed the registration pages to their website. Zoom also offers a registration form whose fields can be customized. However, registration cannot be limited to prospects with a professional email address.

On24 has features like a Q&A, live answer notifications, CTA buttons, and polls. However, questions cannot be upvoted. Zoom promotes engagement with chats, polls, Q&As, and whiteboards but does not have a CTA button feature.

On24's one-click integration tool lets customers connect to CRM platforms. However, it lacks a private chat for event organizers. Zoom helps users make decisions with an in-depth analytics dashboard but offers very little automation.

ON24 vs Zoom: integrations

Zoom allows users to connect their Zoom account with tools like Salesforce, Pipedrive, Hubspot, and Keap. On24 also offers many integrations, like HubSpot, Salesforce Pardot, and Action.

On24 offers a suite of REST APIs which allows developers to create their own integrations for the platform. Zoom also provides an API and a dedicated portal for developers to help guide them through the creation process.

A wide array of widgets are available for On24, which can help enhance the in-room experience. However, it does not offer a public SDK, meaning that developers cannot create their own plugins for the platform. Zoom, on the other hand, has a robust SDK designed to help developers build Zoom into their own software. Zoom also has multiple apps which can make events more engaging or run more smoothly.

On24 lists integration options on its website, in its Marketplace Hub. Zoom native integrations, as well as Zoom Apps, are all listed in the Zoom App Marketplace.

ON24 vs Zoom: pricing

On24 offers users a free plan, which supports up to three participants per event. Zoom also has a free plan option, which supports an unlimited number of meetings, as long as they are no longer than 40 minutes and have no more than 100 participants.

On24 takes a rather different pricing approach from other webinar platforms. Instead of listing specific plans, it displays various products that users can choose from to build their own custom webinar solution.

Zoom has a more typical pricing model and offers small- and medium-sized businesses two plan options for meetings. The Pro plan, which starts at about $15 per month, supports up to 100 attendees. The Business plan, which starts at about $20 per month, will support up to 300 attendees. There are other more expensive plas for webinar and events use cases.

Finally, Zoom offers an Enterprise plan for large corporations. This plan is $20 per month, the same as the Business plan, but is more tailored for large use cases with up to 500 event participants, recording transcripts, and no limit on cloud storage.
