Zoom is a robust end-to-end solution that provides various engagement tools, like chats, polls, and whiteboards. The most significant missing feature is CTAs. Microsoft Teams offers chats, Q&As, and emoji reactions.

Zoom users can access participant metrics through Zoom’s in-depth analytics dashboard, which will help them boost their sales conversions. With that said, it offers little automation. Microsoft Teams also offers a reporting dashboard, but it is not the most efficient solution.

Zoom users can integrate their accounts with the tools they use daily, such as Salesforce, Hubspot, and Pipedrive. Microsoft Teams can also easily be integrated with tools like Trello, Mural, and Salesforce. However, integrations will usually cost extra for Microsoft Teams.

Developers can also integrate their own unique solutions with Zoom using Zoom's API. Microsoft Teams offers just as much flexibility with its own third-party API.

Developers can create their own subset of plugins and widgets for Zoom Meetings with its public SDKs. The most popular examples of these include virtual backgrounds, productivity enhancement tools, and timers. Microsoft Teams provides a public SDK, as well, primarily for its Teams Tabs and Task modules.

Zoom users, as well as casual visitors, can view all integration and app options in the Zoom App Marketplace. Microsoft Teams also displays all its integration options in a well-organized marketplace and provides a collaborative hub to assist developers.

Zoom offers a free plan, which permits 40-minute meetings capped at 100 guests. Microsoft Teams also has a free plan option, which supports up to three participants.

Zoom’s least costly plan is its Pro plan. This starts at about $15 per month and supports up to 100 attendees per event. Meanwhile, Microsoft Teams offers the 365 Business Basic, which costs $5 per user and includes Microsoft Exchange, OneDrive, Sharepoint, and the Teams product.

Small businesses will likely want to opt for Zoom’s Business plan, which starts at about $20 per month and hosts up to 300 guests per event. Microsoft Teams, by contrast, does not offer a “medium” tier price plan.

Zoom’s most expensive solution is its Enterprise plan, which starts at $20 per month. The Enterprise plan will support up to 500 event participants and provide other features. Microsoft Team’s enterprise plan is called the Microsoft 365 Business Standard and bundles over 10 Microsoft products for $12.50 per month.
