Webinar software comparison: ON24 vs Adobe Connect

ON24 vs Adobe Connect: features

While Adobe Connect can be directly accessed through a browser or on any mobile device, On24 can only be accessed through a desktop browser.

On24 offers users a variety of promotional tools, most notably adjustable email sequences. However, there are no website widgets. Adobe Connect's primary promotional feature is its landing pages with registration forms. Unfortunately, these forms are not optimized to improve conversion and attendance rates.

On24 offers a plethora of engagement tools, like polls, chats, and Q&As. Unfortunately, though, questions cannot be upvoted, meaning that hosts won't know which questions to prioritize. Adobe Connect's engagement features include whiteboards. However, it does not have virtual backgrounds.

Finally, while On24 offers an analytics dashboard, hosts and moderators have no private chat box to communicate. Adobe Connect also provides attendance and engagement reporting but does not support on-demand webinar streaming.

ON24 vs Adobe Connect: integrations

A variety of integrations are available for On24, including HubSpot, Salesforce Pardot, and Action. Adobe Connect also allows users to plug in natively with other tools. Its virtual classroom use case, in particular, can integrate with Moodle.

On24 also lets users develop their own custom integrations, with a suite of REST APIs covering various functions like event management, account analytics, event analytics, and registration. Adobe Connect offers a suite of web service APIs as well.

While On24 offers a wide array of plugins that can improve the in-room experience, there is no SDK to create custom effects for the product. Adobe Connect provides a range of plugins, called Custom Pods, and provides an SDK to allow developers to build their own custom solutions.

Finally, both On24 and Adobe Connect list their integrations and plugins in an app marketplace. Both can be viewed directly on the respective platforms' websites in the browser.

ON24 vs Adobe Connect: pricing

On24 has a free webinar plan that supports up to three people per event. In addition, a free plan is available for Adobe Connect, called Small Meetings, which is also limited to three guests. Additionally, those curious about Adobe Connect can take advantage of a free 30-day trial offer.

On24 is unique among webinar platforms in that it does not have distinct pricing plans. Instead, users can build their own custom solution from various available features, “buffet style.”

Adobe Connect offers traditional plans, the cheapest being Adobe Connect Meetings for $50 a month. The next tier plan is called Webinars, and it supports up to 100 participants for $130 a month.

Adobe Connect does offer plans tailored for enterprise businesses that feature customer support and tailored security measures. On24 is designed almost exclusively for large enterprises, which may explain its atypical pricing model.
