AdobeConnect vs Microsoft Teams Live Events in a nutshell

Adobe Connect was originally launched in 2012. As an Adobe proprietary software, logically it relied on Flash, which is not supported anymore by many browsers today. Soon the technology will be discarded and Adobe themselves has already announced it.

Using Flash today can cause connection issues for certain participants.

Microsoft Teams is one of the most famous communication and collaboration platform, known for their workplace chat, video meetings, file storage and application integration. In 2018, Microsoft launch the Live events feature within Microsoft Teams. It allows Microsoft Teams users to host live events, especially for big internal webinar.

Even though Microsoft Teams allows to create one-to-many live event, it has some shortcomings in terms of marketing options for the organiser. Live events are limited when it comes to inviting the attendees outside of the organisation and leveraging it for lead generation. There is indeed no registration options when it comes to reaching a wider audience (only a public access link). Microsoft Teams Live Events doesn't provide advanced features such as webinar automations, smart forms, or customisable emails.

Downloads add friction to the registration process

Having something to download adds friction for registrants and will reduce your webinar's attendance overall. Downloading a third party software every time to attend a webinar is usually not recommended in a B2B configuration (network, firewalls, etc.).

With Livestorm's entirely web-based experience, no download is required. You will bring more people to your webinars and miss less opportunities only for technical reasons.

Livestorm is a 100% real-time, browser-based webinar software.

Providing a frictionless experience to participants directly increases the average attendance in every webinar session. Hence the need for a no-download webinar solution.

Not supporting the new standards in live video streaming (HTML5) can result in delays between the presenter and what the participants actually view (and can create confusion), poor user experience or worst: connectivity issues.

Livestorm works in WebRTC. Real-time, with no install required from the participants nor the hosts.

Integrate Livestorm with 1000+ apps with Zapier (including Hubspot, Salesforce, Marketo, etc.).

Zapier lets you connect Livestorm to hundreds of other web services. Automated connections called Zaps, set up in minutes with no coding, can automate your day-to-day tasks and build workflows between apps that otherwise wouldn't be possible.

Livestorm can fit easily with your existing marketing stack. Integrate your webinars with any software. Send contacts to Hubspot, create leads in Pipedrive or Salesforce, trigger events in Marketo or send your own emails via Mailchimp without any line of code, thanks to Zapier.
