Webinar software comparison: ON24 vs Google Meet

ON24 vs Google Meet: features

It's easy to connect to both On24 and Google Meet. On24 can be accessed via a compatible browser, and Google Meet can be accessed via a browser, mobile device, or tablet.

Users can share their webinars on On24 with adjustable email sequences. However, these emails cannot be easily customized. Google Meet also offers a built-in reminder email tool, but these emails also lack customization.

On24 engages audiences with polls, chats, and Q&As. However, there is no question upvote feature, meaning that event hosts cannot answer questions in order of importance. Google Meet, meanwhile, helps activate participants with a chat section and digital whiteboards but provides no live answer notifications.

Finally, while On24 offers a useful analytics dashboard, it has no private chat box for hosts and moderators. Google Meet has an attendee activity dashboard, but the platform does not provide on-demand webinars, meaning registrants cannot view old events or events they did not attend.

ON24 vs Google Meet: integrations

On24 users can access a wide variety of integrations, such as HubSpot, Salesforce Pardot, and Action. Popular Google Meet integrations include Wingman, Ideawake, and Pinpoint.

Tech-savvy users can also develop their own integrations for On24, with its suite of REST APIs. These cover various functions like registration, event management, event analytics, and account analytics. Google Meet, unfortunately, does not yet offer an API.

On24 offers many exciting widgets which can optimize the in-room event experience. With that said, though, it does not provide an SDK, so developers cannot create their own custom features. There is also no SDK available for Google Meet. Enterprises with unique needs might prefer to use the widgets in On24 or another platform.

On24 integrations and plugins are listed in an app marketplace called the Marketplace Hub. There is no application marketplace specifically for Google Meet, but its integrations can be viewed on the Google Workspace website.

ON24 vs Google Meet: pricing

Standard Google Meet is free. It supports one-on-one meetings lasting up to 24 hours and group meetings of up to three people capped at one hour. On24 also offers a free webinar plan, which supports up to three people per event.

On24 differs from most webinar platforms on the market in that it does not offer specific pricing plans. Instead, it displays a variety of features and products and allows clients to assemble their own custom solutions with a corresponding price.

Google Meet offers an affordable plan called Google Workspace Individual. Starting at $7.99 per month, this plan supports meetings of up to 100 people and offers 24/7 customer support.

Google Meet also offers Google Workspace Enterprise, a plan designed for large businesses, which supports up to 250 users and live in-domain streaming to up to 100,000 viewers. On24 is designed primarily for enterprises and large businesses, which explains its pricing model.
