Webinar software comparison: Crowdcast vs Webex

Crowdcast vs Webex: features

Crowdcast can be accessed via desktop browser or iPhone, iPad, or Android device. This is also the case for Webex.

Reaching audiences in Crowdcast is easy, with its intelligent URL linking feature. Overall, the platform has a very robust suite of promotional tools. Webex helps users promote content with customizable emails, registration forms, and registration pages but has no social sharing buttons.

Crowdcast users can engage clients and expand their reach with the platform's handy multi-streaming feature. The greatest drawback here is the lack of emoji reactions. Webex users can activate attendees with chats, emoji reactions, and polls, but there is no way to ""upvote"" popular questions.

Finally, Crowdcast offers a useful analytics dashboard, but there is no data enrichment tool that can correct incomplete participant information. Webex, meanwhile, offers event recordings and one-click integrations but has no built-in analytics dashboard, meaning that all data must be exported.

Crowdcast vs Webex: integrations

A wide variety of integrations can be used with Crowdcast, such as ConvertKit, Drip, Stripe, and Patreon. Popular integrations available for Webex include tools like Salesforce, Facebook Workplace, Microsoft, and Google Workspace.

There is currently no public API option for Crowdcast, so users cannot create their own custom applications for it. On the other hand, Webex has a useful REST API that enables communication with RESTful web services, allowing users to post messages in Webex spaces, obtain Webex space history, and more.

Custom widgets and plugins are also difficult to create for Crowdcast, as it offers no SDK tool. Webex also lacks a public SDK, meaning that neither of these platforms is the best choice for users with very specific needs.

Despite offering a few integration options, Crowdcast does not list them on any App Marketplace. There is an App Hub available within Webex, which organizes apps into four categories: Must-Try, Brand New, Hybrid Work, and Partner Solutions.

Crowdcast vs Webex: pricing

Crowdcast users can test drive the product with a free two-week trial, but there is no free plan option. However, WebEx does offer a free plan called the Basic plan, which supports a maximum of 100 participants.

The most affordable Crowdcast plan is called the Starter plan, which supports up to 50 event participants for $29 a month. Webex’s most comparable plan is the Business option, which starts at $25 a month and offers premium calling and meeting functionalities.

Small businesses using Crowdcast can choose between two options, the Lite plan, at $49 per month, and the Pro plan, at $90 per month. The Pro plan offers multiple additional features. Webex, by contrast, does not have any plan options in this tier.

Finally, Crowdcast offers the Business plan for large enterprises, which supports up to 1000 live attendees and starts at $195 a month. As for Webex, it offers customizable Webex Enterprise. The price for this plan is not listed on the Cisco website.
