Webinar software comparison: WebinarJam vs Webex

WebinarJam vs Webex: features

WebinarJam users can attend events from phone, tablet, or desktop. However, attendees experiencing bandwidth issues have no mobile dial-in option. Webex can be accessed via desktop, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

Branded registration pages, email templates, and email reminder sequences are a few key promotional tools offered by WebinarJam. Webex has customizable emails and registration pages but has no social sharing buttons.

WebinarJam users can activate audiences with polls, surveys, and Q&As, but cannot use virtual backgrounds. Webex activation tools include chats, emoji reactions, and polls, but there are no question upvotes.

Even though WebinarJam offers some basic analytics tools and allows webinar recordings, it lacks automation tools that can make event hosting easier. Webex also offers event recordings, but its analytics dashboard is not built into the product, meaning data must be exported.

WebinarJam vs Webex: integrations

One drawback with WebinarJam is that it does not offer a huge variety of native integrations. It does offer a few, however, such as Drip, Keep, and Mailchimp. Webex, by contrast, offers a long list of integration options, including Salesforce, Facebook Workplace, Google Workspace, and more.

Enterprises with more specific needs may appreciate WebinarJam’s API, allowing developers to connect their favorite tools. Webex also offers a REST API, which supports innovation by enabling communication with RESTful web services.

Webex also offers a public SDK, which developers can use to create custom widgets and plugins that improve the in-room webinar experience. Unfortunately, WebinarJam does not have a public SDK option.

Lastly, while all Webex apps and integrations are displayed in a well-organized App Hub, WebinarJam does not display its integration options publicly. With that said, though, WebinarJam clients should be able to see available integrations after logging in.

WebinarJam vs Webex: pricing

While WebinarJam offers a free 2-week trial for all products, it has no free plan option. Webex, however, does offer a free plan, which supports up to 100 participants per meeting.

The most affordable WebinarJam plan is its Basic plan, which supports 500 attendees for $499 a year. Webex’s most similar option, Business, starts at $25 per month and gives users premium meeting and calling capabilities.

WebinarJam’s solution for small businesses, Professional, starts at $699 per year. The Professional plan allows four hosts and a maximum of 2,000 participants. Webex does not offer a similar plan equivalent.

The final plan offered by WebinarJam is its Enterprise plan, at $999 a year. The Enterprise plan will support up to 5,000 attendees, six hosts, and four hours of streaming. Webex also offers a solution for large corporations, called Webex Enterprise. Webex states this plan will give users access to “all” of its premium features but does not describe them or list the price.
