Webinar software comparison: GoToWebinar vs Crowdcast

GoToWebinar vs Crowdcast: features

Both Crowdcast and GoToWebinar are accessible via desktop browser, as well as via tablet and mobile.

The best promotional feature in GoToWebinar is a personal channel wherein users can display all past and future webinars. Drawbacks include a lack of embeddable registration forms. Crowdcast offers its users built-in landing pages and allows event hosts to promote content via push notifications.

Some key activation features within GoToWebinar include polls, surveys, and video sharing. However, it lacks a private chat feature for hosts and organizers. Crowdcast users can take advantage of its multi-streaming functionality, but hosts cannot receive live notifications.

Finally, Crowdcast has a variety of organization and reporting features, such as attendee reports, source tracking, and event analytics. Missing are replay analytics and a data enrichment tool. GoToWebinar also provides advanced analytics, but again, there is no data enrichment option.

GoToWebinar vs Crowdcast: integrations

According to the GoToWebinar's website, it offers over 20 native integrations at this time. In addition, Crowdcast provides a complete list of native integrations, including Drip, Stripe, and Patreon, to name a few.

However, Crowdcast does not offer its users an API, so third parties cannot develop custom applications for the platform. Those desiring that level of flexibility will likely prefer GoToWebinar, which offers an API through LogMeIn, its parent company.

GoToWebinar is also a more flexible webinar option in that it provides a public SDK to users to develop custom plugins and widgets. Crowdcast does not offer its users a public SDK, meaning that overall, those seeking to create their solutions and add-ons will likely be happier with the GoToWebinar option.

GoToWebinar's impressive suite of integrations can all be found in its integration marketplace on its website. But Crowdcast, despite offering many integrations, has no such integration marketplace currently.

GoToWebinar vs Crowdcast: pricing

Unfortunately, GoToWebinar does not have any free plans or trials. Crowdcast does not offer a free plan, either, but does let users ""test drive"" its products in a free two-week trial period.

The most affordable GoToWebinar plan is its Lite plan, which supports up to 100 participants for $49 a month. Crowdcast's lowest-priced plan is its Starter plan, which costs $29 per month and supports up to 50 participants.

GoToWebinar offers two small business plans, the Standard plan for $99 per month and the Pro plan for $199 a month. The Standard plan supports up to 250 participants, while the Pro plan supports 500. Crowdcast also offers small businesses two substantial options: the Lite plan, at $49 per month, and the Pro plan, at $90 per month.

Finally, GoToWebinar offers a plan tailored for large businesses called Enterprise. This plan is available for $399 per month and supports up to 3,000 participants. Crowdcast's Business plan supports up to 1000 live attendees for $195 a month.
