Hey everyone, summer is almost gone and while you were on vacations and enjoying the heat we worked on some pretty cool features for Livestorm.

We shipped not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, but SIX NEW FEATURES. Who said summer had low productivity?

Compatibility and replay are still our top priorities and we aim to tackle all those issues before the end of Q4.

In the meantime we managed to ship other delightful features. You know, just to keep things interesting between us :)

Without further consideration, here’s what we worked on this summer:

As always everything’s included in all of our plans.

Also, here’s something new for the product updates. From now on, we will attach a video summary of this post in a vlog format 🎥 😎. Let us what you think in the comment section :)

On branch master: Pipedrive, Zapier and Hubspot integrations, Analytics reports, webinar invites and chat enhancement.

1. Pipedrive integration

A lot of our prospects and clients use lightweight CRM such as Pipedrive and Close.io. As a matter of fact, we do use Pipedrive as well. We would be are our first own users for this new feature.

What does it do?

This first version is pretty basic. It enables you to push any new registrants to your webinar in your Pipedrive to create a new contact or update an existing one.

We handle the basic contact fields: first name, last name, email, organization name and phone number.

Plus, it’s always nice when you know where that contact comes from. For this V1 we also push **a note saying that this contact registered to your webinar [insert webinar name here**].

How do I set it up on Livestorm?

  1. Just go to your setting in Pipedrive and grab your API key under “API”.
  2. Once you have it, just go to your account settings and paste it under Pipedrive integration. And voilà both apps are connected.
  3. Now when you want to activate it for a specific webinar, go to your integration settings at the bottom of your webinar creation form and turn it on or off.

2. Hubspot integration

Another big request from more established businesses was to provide a Hubspot integration. For this V1 we kept things simple.

What does it do?

Just like Pipedrive, this first version is basic. It enables you to push any new registrants to your webinar and create a new contact or update an existing one.

We also handle the basic contact fields: first name, last name, email, organization name and phone number.

We also push a note saying that this contact registered to your webinar [insert webinar name here].

How do I set it up on Livestorm?

  1. Finding that *%¨ API key on Hubspot is a real pain. So here’s the link. There. Click on the “API keys” link.
  2. Once you have it, just go to your account settings and paste it under Hubspot integration. And voilà both apps are connected.
  3. Now when you want to activate it for a specific webinar, go to your integration settings at the bottom of your webinar creation form and turn it on or off.

3. Zapier actions

News from the Zapier front! We now have a full both ways integration sync AKA Zapier Actions.

And believe when I say that this is beyond awesome.

Why, you ask?

Because from now on you can use your own landing pages to use Livestorm.

Just do hook between whatever page builder like Unbounce or a Mailchimp Form or even better a real webhook.

The basic idea is pretty simple, whenever something happens on an app A, this will trigger a Livestorm registration. Example: if someone is added to a Mailchimp list then I register the same email to a Livestorm webinar.

4. Analytics

Now this is something we have been willing to build for a long time. This is the very first brick something much bigger that is coming in the next few months hopefully.

I present to you the V.0 of our analytics reports. And it has graphs, I alway get all nerd around graphs.

What does it do?

Basically, it will provide the following information on your audience:

But we also have cool stuff around your webinar performance:

Conversion funnel: now you are able to see how many people visited your page, how many of those registered, and how many of those actually joined the webinar.

Progression of connected attendees during the webinar: now you can see spikes of connection and disconnection and how many people were in the webinar room during a specific time window.

5. Webinar invites

Now, this is something I was personally expecting like the messiah. It’s now possible to send invitation emails to a webinar directly from Livestorm.

It’s super easy to use. Basically, you go to “invite” in a webinar, click on the button, and paste your emails inside the popup.

Once you submit we will send the invitations to the ones are not already registered ;)

Also, if you look closely, we’ve added the email statuses so you know if the person has received, opened, or clicked the email. HOW COOL IS THAT.

6. Room enhancement

Those are minor changes. But as you know the devil is the details. We believe that small tweaks will dramatically improve the attendee’s experience.

So what’s new?

On branch dev: big changes for the live video experience

In the next few weeks, we will deploy a new version of Livestorm with more integrations, more enhancement for your webinar experience but mostly a stronger video technology.

I won’t talk too much about it on this post but long story short we are implementing a new video tech for our webinars in order to support more network conditions, more browsers and have access to a better replay 😎
